About UB ScholarWorks

At UB ScholarWorks, we value advancing relevant and meaningful research in established disciplines, as well as niche and emerging fields. We support these efforts by making research widely available through open access publishing, and by creating opportunities for innovative learning and scholarship through sharing and reuse of open resources.

UB ScholarWorks is a Diamond Open Access Publisher. Articles published through UB ScholarWorks are freely distributed, and they are also free from author-side fees.

UB ScholarWorks strongly supports author rights and editorial freedom:

  • Authors who publish work in a UBScholarWorks journal retain ownership of their work.
  • Authors are free to produce and distribute scholarship without undue constraint.
  • Editors of UBScholarWorks journals are free to publish scholarly works without influence from any commercial entity, educational institution, or professional association.

UB ScholarWorks values editorial and research efforts that advance diversity, equity, and inclusion. We strive to promote and practice social justice in all our operations. Additionally, we practice care with authors, peer reviewers, readers, and colleagues, as well as other UB ScholarWorks constituents.
